What i love to do is to take something and make it into something else, yes, that bowling ball started out as a bowling ball, but now it is a lamp.

I love the three holer, i flipped it upside down and put mirrors behind the seat, then i put some old leather straps to hold the lids up and form a shelf for handy items.   Big fun in blue paint, sold

Josephine Plaszewski combines her love of art with her passion for recycling.  A Texas transplant, she relocated to New Hampshire several years ago where she owns and operates Fitzwilliam Antiques. There she started painting, using only recycled products in her work. Her big, bold and bright, primary-colored dog paintings, which capture the spirit and essence of each animal, have been exhibited throughout New England and are displayed in private collections throughout the world.

Josephine gives new life to old objects. She transforms discarded teapots, antique watering cans and the like into whimsical and eclectic lamps and fountains; fanciful and functional works of art now viewed nationally in home decorators' showrooms and private residences.

Her work has drawn attention from local and national media including The Keene (NH) Sentinel and the Rachael Ray television show, where she and her husband recently shared the spotlight with the Keno brothers of Antiques Roadshow fame. She lives in Fitzwilliam with her husband, daughter and 2 cats as well as her dog Moo, whom she credits as her muse.
